Part-Time Summer Tech Intern (Temporary W-2 Position)
Summary
Colorado Homeschool Enrichment (CHE) is seeking a Summer IT seasonal hire to support our technical operations team during the summer season. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in IT support, scripting, and cloud-based systems to build real-world skills. The intern will help manage technical support tickets, assist with automation and scripting projects, and contribute to documentation and workflow improvements. Applicants should be comfortable learning new tools quickly and working independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
At-Will Statement
All employment with Colorado Homeschool Enrichment (CHE) is “at-will,” which means that either the employee or CHE may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice, subject to applicable federal and Colorado state laws. Nothing in any job posting, description, or CHE policy shall be interpreted to alter the at-will nature of employment.
Benefits and Perks
Part-time hours 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with the option to work remotely. Must be available during business hours for regular communication.
Compensation Range
Compensation:
- Classification: Part-Time, Seasonal Employee (May 21 – August 18)
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
- Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Academic credit available if approved by your institution

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and system-related issues
- Assist with automation tasks and scripting to improve efficiency
- Learn and support tools such as Airtable, AWS, and other internal platforms
- Maintain and organize technical documentation for system processes
- Collaborate with the tech team to support integrations and project goals
- Complete ad hoc technical tasks and assist with tool onboarding and testing

Location: Remote (in-person preferred if based in Colorado Springs, CO)
Reports To: Systems Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting for automation
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Airtable
- Experience using Replit or other online coding environments
- Prior involvement in IT support, tech clubs, or project-based technical work
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- General computer proficiency across systems and platforms
- Actively pursuing a degree in STEM (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Basic experience with Python or JavaScript
- Familiarity with ChatGPT
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
