The Future of CHE is at Risk -

Dear CHE Families,

Colorado Homeschool Enrichment programs are at risk! Your voice is needed, click the link to help! (3 minutes to complete)

We are so glad you’ve joined the CHE community! Since 2021, Colorado Homeschool Enrichment (CHE) has experienced remarkable growth, now serving 743 students. We have clearly tapped into a deep need of families in Colorado to take charge of their children’s education – to get outside, to experience our beautiful state, to connect meaningfully with our communities, to nurture our children’s giftedness and help them learn at their own pace. We are here to support you and now we need your help!

In their November 2023 meeting (starts at 1:16:31), the Finance Committee of the Colorado Board of Education proposed that in order to continue to receive funding, homeschool enrichment programs must “Require teacher-led instruction for public school funding.” It also stated their desired goal: Parent-led and parent-directed instruction are not allowed for funding.

Parents and families are at the heart of our program. We believe you, the parents, are the best ones to direct your children’s educational journeys. Your voice holds immense power. Their next meeting is Dec. 5.

Now is the time to take action.

We are working with Education Alliance of CO to make responding easy! Please follow this link to invest less than 3 minutes to be heard. Be clear about how our program has created more equity and access to valuable education opportunities for your children and the hardship and loss it will create if they change the rules.
